Durban City FC have expanded their commercial portfolio by announcing local spice franchise Gorima's as the club's official Culinary Partner. The multi year deal aims to create new touchpoints with supporters and enhance the matchday experience both inside and outside the stadium through integrated activations.
Club chairman Farook Kadodia welcomed the partnership. "We are delighted to welcome Gorima's to the Durban City FC family," Kadodia said. "This partnership brings together two brands that understand the importance of community and the experiences we create for the people we serve."
He added that the collaboration recognises the role of food in bringing people together. "Football is about bringing people together, and food is very much part of that experience," Kadodia stated. "We look forward to working with Gorima's and creating new experiences for our supporters throughout the season."
Gorima's marketing head, Priya Singh, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. Singh said.
The partnership underlines the club's commitment to working with local brands, joining existing deals with Umbro and Jonsson Workwear. It forms part of a broader effort to grow the City brand and build lasting commercial relationships that deliver value. The club's commercial director noted that the deal includes collaborative merchandise and exclusive content for supporters.
This off field development comes as the team prepares for a key home fixture. Durban City FC currently sit 10th in the Premier Soccer League with 7 points from 7 games. Their next match is against third placed Amazulu at home on 16 October, a key test in their fixtures schedule. The team's recent form shows two wins, two draws, and one defeat from their last five outings, a run they will look to build on. Fans can track the team's progress in the standings as the season continues.
